Visitors, then and now

Back in January we had a visit from Grandpa and Great Uncle Ray. The big highlight for all of the boys (big and small) was a trip to the Cabela's store in Reno. I forgot to get the photos from Grandpa's camera during that visit so here are a couple now.....

Both boys loved having Uncle Ray with us.

Grandma and Grandpa arrived on Saturday and were immediately immersed in life with the kids (it's the first visit for Grandma since New Year's). We had a special visit from my good friend Trish who I taught with in Everett, WA, as she and her daughter made their way home from a spring break road trip to Vegas. Then we sent G&G and Ben to the 10th anniversary production of the Incline Star Follies. The Follies is a big community fundraiser with most proceeds going toward the schools. It is a fun night with choreographed lip-syncs from many school staff members, students, as well as local business people. The first words out of Ben's mouth when he came home were, "Mom, I just loved it!"
It worked out well that Ben had a date Saturday evening as Sam started to come down with a fever and was generally very clingy and fussy. We ended up taking Sam to the emergency room on Sunday evening after baby Tylenol and Motrin failed to bring his fever down. The verdict was negative on ear infection or strep throat and was determined to be a viral pharyngitis....AKA a sore throat. So, no prescription to speed the healing process but at least now his fevers are leveling out and responding to the over-the-counter meds. Thank goodness G&G were here so Ben didn't have to come to the hospital for almost two hours with us.
Today, I risked leaving the sick baby with G&G so Ben and I could go visit the preschool he will begin attending next fall - the Incline Village Nursery School (www.ivns.org) Ben had a great time with the kids and teachers and seems to be more than ready to be a preschooler.
So, here are a few more pics from Grandpa's camera.
Music man...just a little less animated than normal.

You've been busy! I'm jealous you get to spend this week with your parents - mine opted to spend their spring break with Chelsea.

Cute mohawks, Browder boys! That last picture of Sam is a classic. What happy boys you have!
